Family Engagement Worker – Lincolnshire Action Trust

Location: HMP Morton Hall LN6 9PT

Hours: 37 hours per week – Monday to Friday

Applicants must be 18+ due to prison‑based working.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service and build sustaining relationships with service users, other agencies, and clients.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills, including planning, organising, and facilitation of play/activities for children of different ages.
  • Use IT systems for record‑keeping and evidence collection for contract monitoring.
  • Provide independent advice and guidance to all individuals accessing family services, including children, families and prisoners.
  • Determine levels of support required, review progress, deliver regular themed family days and play interventions for children, and positively interact with other agencies.
  • Maintain awareness of risk, risk management, safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and equality of opportunity.
  • Collect evidence required for contract monitoring.
Qualifications
  • Minimum NVQ4 in Advice and Guidance (or willingness to work towards this qualification after probation).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full, valid car licence and access to a vehicle with insurance for business use to travel throughout the area.
  • Availability for occasional weekend cover and flexibility with working hours.
