Overview

Position Summary: The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical condition and safety of the office environment, ensuring all facilities are functioning efficiently. Performs basic and routine facilities maintenance, construction and repair tasks according to service, quality and safety standards. Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety and waste management systems. Assists with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facility. Utilizes a work order system to log activities as required. Works with or assists trade contractors to complete projects or complex repairs. Additionally, this role involves managing mail room operations, including processing incoming and outgoing mail and packages. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities to support a smooth-running office.

Please note: This Position is in-house at our Exton, PA Corporate Headquarters and not remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs of office facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues proactively.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and safety of all office areas.
  • Manage mail room operations, including receiving, sorting, distributing, and dispatching mail and packages.
  • Operate mailroom equipment such as scales, printers, scanners, and postage meters.
  • Maintain accurate records of mail and package deliveries and shipments.
  • Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, repairs, and supplies as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance and facility-related inquiries or emergencies.
  • Assist in office setup, furniture rearrangement, and space planning when required.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain compliance with organizational policies.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of the company van.
  • Ensure the building is secure and locked each evening.
Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in facility maintenance or building operations.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance tools and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to operate mailroom equipment and handle postal regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Prior experience in an office environment preferred.
