Qualifications

Job Description

The Facility maintenance position is responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in warehouses, production areas, and other operational areas of the Company to ensure facility systems are functional for daily use.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience in commercial/industrial electrical work (not required).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Mining Electrician Card.
  • Completion of recognized program in industrial electricity and/or apprenticeship program.
  • Current Electrician's License or ID card to meet regulations.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical codes.
  • Knowledge of electrical tools, methods, and materials.
  • Understanding of electrical principles, circuits, wiring, and equipment up to 3-phase 480 volts.
  • Basic knowledge of facility maintenance including pneumatic, HVAC, plumbing, and construction.
  • Knowledge of VFD devices and PLC controllers.
  • Strong commitment to job site safety.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on lighting and power distribution equipment.
  • Program PLCs.
  • Install and repair electrical systems and components in industrial machinery according to codes and diagrams.
  • Lubricate, service, and perform minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Install wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctions in transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures using test equipment.
  • Replace damaged wires and cables with proper tools.
  • Utilize MS-Word and MS-Excel effectively.
  • Work in accordance with NEC standards.
