Facilities Services Assistant

The closing date is 10 December 2025

To work as part of the Facilities Services Team within the Community Hospitals to carry out a range of duties associated with the provision of professional cleaning and patient support activities, including providing the patient meal service (breakfast, lunch and supper).

To contribute to the maintenance of a hygienic and clean environment for patients, staff and visitors, ensuring the highest standards are met at all times. At all times the position demands respect for patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality.

The post holder is expected to comply with Trust Infection Control Policies and conduct themselves at all times in such a manner as to minimise the risk of healthcare‑associated infection.

You will need to be passionate about cleanliness and keen to ensure our patients receive good quality food and beverage services. You should be prepared to be flexible and enthusiastic with a real desire to provide the best possible environment for our patients and visitors.

We are looking for individuals who enjoy working as part of a team but feel happy and confident enough to take on challenges and to work unsupervised when required.

Although previous hospital experience is not essential you should have a keen eye for detail and be able to demonstrate previous experience in a cleaning or food service environment.

Working Pattern: 20 hours per week.

Week 1: Monday 16:00‑20:00, Tuesday Day off, Wednesday 16:00‑20:00, Thursday Day off, Friday Day Off, Saturday 07:30‑13:30, Sunday 07:30‑13:30
Week 2: Monday Day off, Tuesday 16:00‑20:00, Wednesday 07:30‑13:30, Thursday 07:30‑13:30, Friday 16:00‑20:00, Saturday Day off, Sunday Day off
