Job Title:Facilities Operator

Location: This position is based at our facility in Pencoed, Bridgend

What you will be doing:
  • Supporting the Facilities Manager in delivering a high standard of site services across all buildings
  • Carrying out general repairs and maintenance, including:
    • Basic plumbing
    • Basic carpentry
    • Tiling work
    • Pot-hole repairs
    • Painting and decorating
    • Completing small DIY tasks (e.g. assembling furniture, installing shelves, TVs, mirrors)
  • Assisting with maintenance and repairs at other off-site locations when required
  • Setting up and clearing meeting rooms
  • Managing locker allocations and maintaining up-to-date records
  • Assisting with the collection, delivery and sorting of site mail
  • Maintaining pool vehicles and keeping the Facilities van in good condition
  • Cleaning and replenishing coffee machines and managing consumable stock levels
  • Maintaining the Facilities workshop and communal areas to a high standard
  • Carrying out additional cleaning tasks (e.g. deep cleaning, litter collection) as required
  • Performing basic troubleshooting and preventative checks, and promptly reporting defects or incidents
  • Providing cover for other team members when needed
What you bring:
  • Good written and spoken English, suitable for a professional environment
  • The ability to be an effective communicator
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask and plan/organise own workload
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team and follow instructions
  • Good level of experience carrying out a variety of DIY tasks
  • Full, clean driving licence
  • Can-do, positive attitude
