A leading facilities management company is seeking a permanent Facilities Manager for their Northampton schools account. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, compliance with health and safety regulations, and managing a team of approximately 50 staff. Ideal candidates will possess strong skills in people management, customer relationship management, and hold relevant qualifications such as IWFM and IOSH. We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Facilities Manager to join our Northampton school’s account.
This role is based on-site although you will need to hold a UK driving licence to travel to your assigned schools (company car included).
37.5 hours per week. You will be required to be on call one week in every 5.
The Northampton Schools account encompasses 43 schools, comprising a mixture of primary and secondary institutions. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 50 members, with 8 direct reports.
We are seeking a candidate with extensive experience in people management, client relationship management, and health & safety management. Additionally, having a qualification from the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) is highly desirable.

You will be responsible for all Facilities Maintenance of the site while managing each team member as an individual.
Ideally you will be qualified in IOSH Managing Safely with experience of the Facilities Management marketplace.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you are qualified in NEBOSH or CITB SMSTS with to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
