Job description

We are now hiring a proactive and reliable Facilities Labourer to join the manufacturing site facilities team. This is a hands‑on role where you will work both indoors and outdoors, supporting the smooth running of operations on site.

Responsibilities
  • Managing site waste compound, including hazardous and confidential waste disposal
  • Operating granulators and shredders, and a forklift to dispose of manufacturing waste
  • Weekly tasks such as clearing the manufacturing plant basements
  • Supporting office set‑ups, relocations, and meeting room arrangements
  • Perimeter fence security tours and litter picking
  • Assisting with snow and ice clearing during the winter months
  • Maintaining bund areas, gullies, drains, and other miscellaneous duties
  • On‑site availability: Ability to reliably work 37.5 hours per week over a four‑week rota
  • Physical capability: Comfortable with a highly active role, averaging 15,000 steps per day indoors and outdoors
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Clear communication and effective teamwork are key to success in this role
  • Adaptability: Flexible and resilient in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Practical competence: Confident in safe manual handling techniques and willing to undertake training where required
Desirable Skills
  • Forklift truck licence or willingness to undertake training
  • Chemical awareness – existing knowledge beneficial, with full training provided
  • Relevant background – prior experience in facilities labouring, building maintenance, or caretaking roles
