Role outline

Welding and fabrication within a workshop environment.

Responsibilities
  • High standard of welding of pipework, support structures and associated parts
  • Complete works as directed by site supervisors and managers
  • Carrying out a variety of fabrication works, assembly of mechanical equipment, and fixtures
Requirements
  • Working knowledge pipework, platforms and fabrication using steel
  • Good communication skills
  • Hard working and conscientious
  • Knowledge/experience using various fabrication techniques
  • Ability to work on own initiative, be self-motivated and work part of a team
  • Ability to cut and prepare materials before welding and read manufacturing drawings
  • Experience of TIG/MIG/MMA welding desirable
  • Ability to understand and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
