Job summary

A well-established engineering firm in England is seeking a skilled Fabricator Welder in Crank. The position involves manufacturing steel products, particularly doors, using MIG welding techniques. Ideal candidates will have proven MIG welding abilities and experience with engineering drawings. This temp to perm opportunity offers competitive pay and standard working hours from Monday to Friday. Additional skills such as NVQ in Fabrication and Welding are advantageous.

Job description

Recruit4staff are representing a well‑established engineering & manufacturing business in their search for a Fabricator Welder to work in Haydock.

Job Details

Pay : Up to £15.78 per hour

Hours of Work : Monday to Friday 07.30 to 15.30

Overtime Rules : Paid at x1.5 of basic hours after completing 37.5 hours

Duration : Temp to Perm

Job Role

As a Fabricator Welder, you will be responsible for manufacturing various steel products including steel doors using both thin gauge (2-3mm) and heavy gauge mild steel up to 25mm thickness. The role involves MIG welding, fabrication from drawings to tight tolerances, and maintaining a high standard of work. You will also support other departments as needed based on production demands.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
  • Proven ability to MIG weld
  • Experience working from engineering drawings to fabricate steel components
  • Skilled in working with thin gauge sheet metal and heavy gauge steel
Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications
  • NVQ / C&G in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent
  • Previously coded in MIG welding
  • Experience welding galvanised steel / stainless steel
Additional Information

Some inter‑departmental support may be required depending on manufacturing needs.
