An exciting opportunity has arisen with our Gloucester-based client, who is looking for a dedicated Fabricator Fitter to join their expanding team!

Fabricator Fitter Roles and Responsibilities
  • Build and assemble catering trailer bodies using aluminium, stainless steel, composite panels, and other materials
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work orders to ensure accurate production
  • Fabricate and install internal and external frameworks, maintaining structural integrity throughout
  • Fit flooring, wall panels, and roofing structures in line with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards
  • Install doors, hatches, serving counters, and other functional components with precision
  • Fit mounting points and support structures for internal equipment
  • Apply sealants, trims, and finishing materials to achieve water‑tight, high‑quality results
  • Install external cladding, signage mounts, and visual features
  • Construct and fit internal joinery elements such as counters, shelving, and storage units
  • Carry out regular quality checks to maintain production standards
  • Ensure all work meets relevant safety regulations and industry requirements
  • Collaborate effectively within the workshop team, offering support to colleagues when required
Fabricator Fitter Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a related trade such as coach building, shop fitting, joinery, vehicle body building, caravan construction, or other precision fitting roles
  • Strong working knowledge of panel construction methods and materials
  • Ability to interpret and work confidently from technical drawings and specifications
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Good understanding of structural principles and load‑bearing considerations
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality workmanship
  • Physically capable of lifting materials and working in varied positions required for fabrication tasks
  • Background in joinery or carpentry (advantageous)
  • Experience working with stainless steel or food‑grade materials (advantageous)
