Job summary

A large manufacturing company is seeking a Fabricator to join their structural steel department in Patchetts Green. This role involves fabricating components from engineering drawings, performing quality checks, and maintaining workshop equipment. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm, with a £17 to £22 hourly rate, making it a rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional.

Fabricator

About the client: Our client are a large manufacturing company with two sections in the business. This role is for the structural steel department, working at their site in Watford. Due to growth they are looking for a permanent MIG Welder.

As a Fabricator your duties will include:

  • Fabricating
  • Building large assemblies from engineering drawings
  • Working on structural steel (experience with structural steel is essential)
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Plating work - marking-out, prepping, fabricating big items
  • Using workshop machinery (bandsaw, drills, grinders, press brake, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring that all equipment is properly stored and maintained
  • Fabricate components according to specifications and technical drawings

As a Fabricator you will work:

  • Monday - Friday
  • 7am - 5pm, 2pm finish on Fridays
  • 1 hour break between 12pm - 1pm
  • £17 - £22 per hour
