Job summary

Overview

Fabric maintenance engineers - Working across West Surrey

My client are a mechanical engineering company with over 50 years of operation, providing mechanical engineering solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients. They require 2 mobile Fabric maintenance engineers to work across the Surrey region, carrying out works on commercial properties.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs for commercial and civic buildings and some sheltered housing.
• Painting and decorating (primary skill).
• Carpentry (internal and external).
• Plaster repairs.
• Roofing repairs.
• Flat roof repairs (basic lead work only).
• Concreting.
• Brickwork repairs.
• External door and window replacements.
• Emergency glazing.
• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Fencing (panels and posts).

Requirements

• Trade qualifications required (NVQ / City & Guilds Level 2 / 3).
• IPAF and/or PASMA desirable.
• Engineers must be okay with working outside of West Surrey, in Sussex and London on rare occasions.

Salary and Benefits

• Salary: £32k to £42k, dependant on experience and qualifications.
• Travel time paid after 30 minutes EW.
• 40 hours per week — Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 (30 minute lunch).
• Company van provided, fuel card, tablet, phone and uniform provided.
• 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays.
• Private use of van allowed.
• Company pension scheme in place.
