About Us:

We are a leading facilities management provider dedicated to creating and maintaining safe, efficient, and comfortable environments for our clients. We believe in investing in our people, offering a supportive workplace where you can grow your skills and build a long-term career. We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Handyperson to join our dedicated team at a key site in Portsmouth.

The Role:

As our on-site Handyperson, you will be the go-to person for general maintenance and repairs, ensuring the building is kept in excellent condition. You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive tasks, taking pride in your workmanship and enjoying a varied workload. This is a static role, meaning you will be based at a single site with a consistent daily routine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general repairs and maintenance tasks across the site.

  • Carry out basic joinery (e.g., hanging doors, repairing furniture), plumbing (e.g., fixing minor leaks, unblocking sinks), and decorating (e.g., painting, patch plastering).

  • Conduct repairs to flooring, tiling, and glazing.

  • Assist other on-site engineers and specialist sub-contractors when required.

  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety regulations.

  • Keep accurate records of all completed jobs.

  • Provide a friendly and helpful service to everyone on-site.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Handyperson or in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role.

  • A broad skill set covering basic plumbing, carpentry, and decorating.

  • A qualification in a trade like carpentry or plumbing is a plus, but not essential.

  • A strong understanding of health and safety practices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

  • The ability to work independently and manage your own daily tasks.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive Salary: £30,000 per annum.

  • Excellent Work-Life Balance: A stable Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM working pattern.

  • Pension Scheme: A comprehensive company pension to help you plan for your future.

  • Training and Development: We are committed to your professional growth and will provide ongoing training opportunities to help you develop new skills.

  • Generous Holiday Allowance.

  • All tools, equipment, and uniform provided.
