Job summary

A leading aviation recruitment firm is looking for a skilled F&DT Engineer for an initial 6-month contract based in Filton, UK. The role involves approving F&DT deliverables, leading issue resolutions, and contributing to engineering solutions. Ideal candidates should have solid experience in structures engineering, knowledge of aircraft structural design, and a background in structural analysis. This position offers up to £52 per hour for a 35-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.

On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a F&DT Engineer on an initial 6 month contract.

Role: F&DT Engineer
Pay: Up to £52 per hour via Umbrella
Location: Filton
Contract: Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week, 6 months contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities
  • Approve F&DT deliverables and lead the resolution of F&DT problems through the use of appropriate methods
  • Responsible for the technical scope of assigned projects and tasks
  • Contribute to engineering solutions and ways of working borne from experience in aerospace, other industries or research environments
  • Support the development of less experienced team members on both technical and behavioural aspects
Essential Skills
  • Experience and know-how of structures engineering and analytical techniques
  • Good knowledge of overall aircraft structural design principles and techniques
  • Hold or be close to holding approval signatory in F&DT analysis
  • Ability to step back and propose new ideas
  • Studied engineering and have a structural analysis background, particularly fatigue and damage tolerance
