Job description

Our client Walgreens Boots Alliance are looking for an Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President International General Counsel in their Oxford Street office.

Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) is a global leader in healthcare and retail committed to helping people live healthier happier lives. Their London office is a key part of their international operations which offers a collaborative purpose-driven culture.

You will provide efficient and comprehensive EA and organisational support through the use of exceptional planning, prioritisation, confidentiality and influencing skills. This role will effectively and efficiently deliver the business priorities interfacing at both a divisional and group level.

Key responsibilities
  • Acting as first point of contact on behalf of the senior executive for the leaders across the group interfacing at a local divisional and Global level
  • To make meeting, travel and accommodation arrangements delivering the most effective and efficient solution for the senior executive
  • Provide support to produce documents, reports and presentations for key meetings
  • Support the preparation, review and management of legal documents when required
  • Actively prioritise work and advise the senior executive highest priority issues and proactively organise time around what is most critical to the business
  • Be prepared to deal with sensitive information and maintain the highest levels of confidentiality
  • To create and maintain an effective personnel filing system suitable for the level of sensitivity involved
  • Work closely with the Legal team members and Divisional EA population to build a confident relationship with them in order to deliver high quality support
  • Work as a team with other Executive Assistants to ensure cover for holidays and absence
  • To respond to queries from other parts of the business and external organisations liaising with colleagues at all levels
Key skills
  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant ideally in a legal environment assisting the GCs or in a law firm
  • Degree in a legal field would be advantageous (e.g. paralegal studies or law)
  • High levels of flexibility and adaptability
  • Relationship building and a strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and diary management skills
  • The ability to work under pressure and reach deadlines
  • Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels across the business and with external contacts
  • Experience using the full Microsoft Office suite particularly Word, Excel & PowerPoint
