About The Peligoni Club

The Peligoni Club is a family-run members club on the beautiful island of Zakynthos, Greece. Food is at the heart of the Peligoni experience, and our events programme is one of the most distinctive parts of our summer season. From our PACE wellness weeks, to weekly long table feasts, street-food style pop-ups, weddings, and our legendary mini-festival, GATHER, every event is an opportunity for creativity, flavour and unforgettable experiences.

Each season, we also welcome incredible chefs as part of our Guest Chef Series who collaborate with our kitchen team to produce special menus, workshops and feasts. Past guests include Ellis Barrie, Neil Rankin, Jackson Boxer, Tom Brown, Romy Gill, Tim Siadatan, The Happy Pear and more. It’s a vibrant, collaborative environment with exciting culinary challenges throughout the summer.

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and innovative Events Head Chef to lead the creation and delivery of all food-related events throughout the season. You’ll take full ownership of the culinary execution of our weekly events, weddings, peak-season lunch pop-ups, Guest Chef collaborations and large-scale celebrations - ensuring that every dish exceeds expectations.

This is a fast-paced, highly rewarding role suited to a Head Chef with strong leadership skills, exceptional creativity and a passion for producing memorable dining experiences. You’ll manage and mentor a diverse team, uphold high culinary standards, and work closely with the Executive Chef and Guest Chefs to bring exciting, high-quality food to life in a beautiful Mediterranean setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of all weekly food events, including the Peligoni Greek Night, Open Fire Feast and the Food Festival.
  • Lead the culinary execution of weddings, from intimate ceremonies to multi-event celebrations.
  • Oversee peak-season lunch pop-ups and ensure consistency in quality and service.
  • Collaborate closely with Guest Chefs, providing support and ensuring they have everything they need.
  • Lead, train and motivate a team including CDPs and Kitchen Assistants.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of food preparation, presentation and consistency.
  • Develop, refine and evolve event menus with the Executive Chef.
  • Uphold strict food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain robust quality-control processes to ensure consistency across all events.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Manage ordering, stock rotation, waste control and cost efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Front of House team to deliver seamless event service.
  • Create staff rotas and ensure appropriate coverage for events and peak service times.

Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in events and high‑pressure kitchen environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, cuisines and food safety standards.
  • Experience managing and training a diverse kitchen team.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, food costs and stock effectively.
  • Up‑to‑date Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • EU passport holder
