We’re on the lookout for a confident, people-focused Event Sales Specialist to join our dynamic Sales & Reservations team. Based at Bedruthan and Scarlet Hotels, you’ll be the first point of contact for guests planning everything from weddings and celebrations to corporate events and retreats. This role is all about building genuine connections, understanding what matters most to each guest, and guiding them through the planning journey with warmth and professionalism. You’ll thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment where hospitality meets creativity, and no two days are the same.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Act as the first, friendly point of contact for all event and wedding enquiries (phone, email, in‑person)
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with guests by understanding their vision and event needs
  • Confidently sell and upsell venues, packages, and hotel services to meet targets
  • Lead venue show rounds, creating a memorable first impression of the hotels
  • Draft tailored proposals, manage contracts and deposits, and keep booking details accurate and up‑to‑date
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure smooth handovers and flawless event execution
  • Collect guest feedback post‑event and proactively pursue repeat business
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and new sales opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Experience in sales, events, hospitality or reservations is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills — written, verbal and in‑person
  • A confident and friendly telephone manner
  • Organised and detail‑focused, with a proactive mindset
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Previous experience with booking systems or CRM software is a bonus (training provided)
  • An interest in weddings, hospitality, sustainability, or independent businesses is welcomed
