Job summary

A leading logistics company in Basildon is seeking a European Road Freight Trainee Administrator to join their busy Head Office. In this role, you will support the Supervisor and Manager by handling the creation and processing of shipments, providing customer assistance, and ensuring that client needs are met efficiently. Ideal candidates will have some experience in administration and a good knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook. This full-time position offers core hours of Monday to Friday and a flexible approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Some recent experience working in an office administrative role.
  • Good attention to detail with knowledge in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Creating and processing Groupage shipments on assigned services.
  • Assisting Supervisor/Manager by creating bookings and customer assistance.
  • Ensuring clients' needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with the development of the department.
  • Helping with customs clearance of exports & imports.
  • Working with Management to maximize profits.

Overview

Our Client is actively seeking to recruit a permanent European Road Freight Trainee Administrator for their busy Head Office in Basildon.

As the European Road Freight Trainee Administrator you will be working alongside the Supervisor/Manager of the Road Freight Division.

Responsibilities
  • Creating and processing of Groupage shipments on your assigned services
  • Assisting your Supervisor/Manager and colleagues by creating bookings, providing customer assistance, invoicing and undertaking general daily duties relating to the associated department.
  • Ensuring client's needs and expectations are met and where possible exceeded in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Together with your colleagues, assisting with the development of the department and Company as a whole
  • Assisting the CCT department in customs clearance of exports & imports
  • Working with the Management & Directors to maximise the profits for both department and Company as a whole
Qualifications
  • If you have some recent experience of working within an office environment in an administrative role and have a good attention to detail with a good understanding of Excel, Word and outlook then this could be the ideal role for you.
Hours

Core hours will be Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, although a flexible approach to working hours is essential due to the nature and needs of the Business and your role as European Road Freight Trainee
