Are you a practical problem-solver with a passion for creating safe, welcoming environments? At Milestones Trust we support adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live their best lives. Join our team as an Estates Maintenance Operative, where your skills will enhance the wellbeing of the individuals we support.
The successful candidate will provide basic property and estate maintenance services as tasks arise. You will join our in-house maintenance team and will work closely with the Estates and Facilities team in providing varied reactive and planned maintenance services. This will include basic fault finding, painting and decorating as well as repairs to Trust properties; primarily in Swindon and Wiltshire areas, but you may be asked to work across other areas as well. This certainly wouldnt be a monotonous role where each day is the same; it would be quite varied and could involve hanging a door and fitting shelves, fixing a tap, basic electricals and plumbing, decorating, repairs, masonry such as pointing, etc. You dont have to be an expert tradesman in any one field for this role; we are looking for somebody with a broad general knowledge/skill set across all areas who can carry out these works.
We pride ourselves with delivering the best person centred care, treatment and support, to enable people to live the lives they choose, to meet their goals and aspirations.
