Overview

Job title: Estates Compliance & Sustainability Officer
Location: Coventry, with travel around Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire as required.
Salary: Circa £30,000
Hours: 30 – 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday. Flexible between the hours 8.30am – 5.00pm
Job type: Permanent

About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an approachable, flexible, enthusiastic and committed person who is able to support and assist with compliance and sustainability across a large portfolio of residential and community estates. You will be a vital member of the team and be able to work productively using your own initiative. You will be required to have a professional approach to your working environment with the ability and awareness to maintain confidentiality at all times.

You should have experience of working in a busy environment, utilising data and systems to evidence compliance. You will have excellent keyboard skills and proficiency in using the full range of Microsoft Office packages. A good standard of education and excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as is experience of property compliance, environmental issues and quality standards.

This is a busy and challenging position, and the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines and deal with competing priorities.

Key responsibilities
  • To develop systems for oversight and compliance management across a large portfolio of residential and office/ service accommodation.
  • To develop and implement a carbon net zero plan, with agreed action for ensuring that CWW Mind is reaching its potential of reducing carbon emissions.
  • To undertake a programme of stock rationalisation for both residential and office.
  • To ensure cyclical works are planned and costed, so that budgets can be set for future spend.
  • To ensure systems are in place to ensure that contractors and sub-contractors operate in line with agreed specifications and conditions.
  • To support in the compliance with ISO standards for Health & Safety and Environment.
Essential requirements
  • Experience of working in a busy role and environment, ideally utilising data and systems to evidence compliance.
  • Fully computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and all programmes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following GDPR guidelines at all times.
  • Ability to work on own initiative , problem solving as required.
  • Able to work under pressure with complex and competing needs.
  • Enthusiastic, innovative and flexible approach.
  • Ability to travel to venues across Coventry, Warwickshire and Worcestershire (Drivers will require valid business insurance).
