Job summary

A local council is seeking an experienced Estate Services Coordinator to oversee estate management and lead a team of caretakers. This role requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of health and safety regulations, and excellent communication abilities. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of maintenance and respond effectively to resident needs. The position includes evening meetings and weekend supervision as required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in public service delivery.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation (NEBOSH/IOSH desirable).
• Experience in estate services including cleaning and repairs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physically able to carry out inspections.
• Willingness to attend evening meetings and weekend cover.

Responsibilities

• Monitor estate management functions including waste and recycling.
• Conduct regular inspections of communal areas.
• Respond to resident feedback and enquiries.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and supplies.
• Collaborate with council teams to resolve complex issues.
• Attend evening meetings and provide weekend supervision.
• Support tenant management and residents associations.
• Contribute to service improvements and policy development.
