ESOL Tutor for UASC Students

Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? If so, we have a very exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a tutor in Knowsley area. Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced Tutor who is comfortable teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). We are looking for ESOL Tutors who are eager to work with children and young people with a variety of learning needs with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and drastically improve the outlook of their educational journey.

We are looking for Tutors who are experienced teaching both English and Maths, as well as being able to commute around the Knowsley area easily. The successful candidate will be working with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) delivering content on both English and Maths. Experience working with UASC is desirable but not required. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young people and to be a constant in their education journey.

  • 25 - 30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
  • Hours suited to standard school times, morning and evening sessions are available
The ideal candidate will
  • Be a QTS or have relevant UK experience
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with ESOL or UASC
What we need from you
  • A valid Right to Work within the UK
  • An Enhanced Children's DBS that is on the update service, or the ability to complete one
  • References to cover the last two years of employment
  • The ability to commute across Knowsley
