Job summary

An aerospace manufacturing business in the Broughton area is seeking an Ergonomist to perform ergonomics analysis, support action plans, and ensure effective ergonomic practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of human factors, a relevant degree, and be working towards accreditation with CIEHF.   • Accredited to, or working towards, Registered Membership of the CIEHF or equivalent.

Ergonomist

Based in the Broughton area, this role is on a contract basis and is on-site based.

Company

We are working with a manufacturing business that operates in the aerospace sector. They design, manufacture, and deliver industry‑leading commercial aircraft, and also have a separate space and defence division.

Role

This role is for an Ergonomist – someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You'll be results‑oriented and driven to succeed. You'll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

  • Perform ergonomics work analysis of Assembly/Installation activities
  • Support building ergonomics action plans, suited to the industrial strategy and future evolutions, and validate them with the senior leaders
  • Contribute to the definition of specifications, call for tenders, and subcontractor piloting in the frame of Ergonomics‑related outsourced work packages on the specific site
  • Monitor international regulatory and scientific development for deployment and guidance
  • Ensure effective communication with the local Health and Safety representatives on ergonomic matters
  • Be ready to support specific ergonomic actions/task forces in other transnational locations
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of human factors/ergonomics, ideally within a similar environment/industry to aerospace/manufacturing
  • Educated to degree (or higher) level in Ergonomics/Human Factors (delivered by an accredited CIEHF higher education body)
  • Accredited to (or demonstrated working towards) Registered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) or equivalent
