Main duties of the job

As an Equipment Library Assistant, you'll support the weekend provision of our Equipment Library service, helping to manage, clean, and distribute essential medical devices such as infusion pumps, pressure-relieving mattresses, and bed frames. You'll be based at Yeovil District Hospital, with occasional travel to other sites.

  • Receive, process, and issue medical equipment
  • Clean and decontaminate items to high standards
  • Perform equipment checks and basic maintenance
  • Maintain accurate manual and digital records
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and service users
  • Support training and development activities
  • Uphold health and safety standards at all times

Work pattern - 5 days per week- Rota to include alternate weekend day - 08:00 to 16:00
