Are you passionate about sustainability and keen to make a real impact in the energy-from-waste sector? We're supporting a leading operator in the search for an Environmental Technician to join their growing team.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of environmental performance on site. From monitoring and sampling to maintaining compliance systems, you'll help ensure operations run safely, efficiently, and in line with environmental standards. You'll gain exposure across all areas of environmental management, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress in a fast-evolving industry.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting environmental monitoring, sampling, and reporting across waste, water, air, and emissions.

  • Helping to manage compliance with environmental permits and Duty of Care requirements.

  • Maintaining and improving the site Environmental Management System (ISO14001).

  • Assisting with audits, inspections, and training to uphold best practice.

  • Analysing and reporting data to drive continuous improvement in environmental performance.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in environmental compliance, waste, energy, or industrial operations (desirable, not essential).

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment.

  • Confidence working with environmental data and IT systems (Excel knowledge a plus).

  • A passion for sustainability and the drive to learn and develop new skills.

  • NEBOSH Environmental Certificate or similar is advantageous, but training can be provided.
