Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks an Environmental & Sustainability Business Partner/Manager for a 3-month interim position across various UK sites. The role involves embedding sustainability, ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, and providing support to operations. Location:UK site visits to Milton Keynes, Cambridgeshire and North Yorkshire - can be based at any location

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Environmental & Sustainability Business partner/Managerto work across different sites. This is for an interim period of 3 months and inside IR35.

The Role

You will embed sustainability across operations and ensure compliance with environmental legislation. Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll provide practical guidance, manage environmental risk, and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities:
  • Implement the Environmental & Sustainability Strategy.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for environmental compliance.
  • Support operational teams with risk management, training, and improvement plans.
  • Track legislation and translate requirements into operational action.
  • Support audits, reporting, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Provide environmental input to bids and business development.
Qualifications:
  • Chartered environmental professional (or working towards within 12 months).
  • Relevant degree.
  • Strong communicator with a commercial, practical approach.
