Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to oversee environmental matters throughout the programme lifecycle. This hybrid role requires collaboration with HSQE teams and stakeholders while managing design, assessments, and site oversight. Ideal candidates will excel in environmental management, possess knowledge of Scottish laws, and have a solid background in environmental processes. The role offers a blend of office and onsite work in Glasgow and Helensburgh, with security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable environmental management experience, preferably in civil works.
• Good understanding of Scottish environmental laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all environmental matters throughout the programme lifecycle.
• Involvement in design development and impact assessments.
• Oversight of contractor works on site.

Skills

Environmental management experience

Knowledge of EIA, CIRAM, Consents and Planning

Document and EMS control experience

Report and documentation writing

Marine / terrestrial experience

Education

Chartered membership of relevant body

SEAT and/or POEMS training

Experience in a Government environmental body
