Our Environmental, Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the EHS department and contribute to the application of effective Environmental, Health and Safety management. Manage Protolabs’ ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification compliance.

What you\'ll do:
  • Own ISO 14001/45001 compliance, policies, and audits.
  • Lead risk assessments (general, COSHH), inspections, and EHS programs.
  • Investigate incidents (incl. RIDDOR), drive root cause analysis and prevention.
  • Manage EHS documentation, logs, and required reporting.
  • Deliver inductions/training; coach culture change and compliance.
  • Oversee PPE and safety equipment purchase, use, and maintenance.
  • Partner with operations, lead the EHS committee, and engage regulators/customers.
  • Ability to oversee waste disposal and ensure regulatory agency compliance i.e. labelling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc.
  • Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as required and assigned.
  • Liaise with external bodies such as the HSE as required.
  • Conduct supplier visits as required relating to EHS management such as waste contractors.
What it takes:
  • Knowledge/experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • NEBOSH (National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety) or equivalent qualifications an advantage
  • Experience of presentations and training
  • Working with EHS data systems, inputting data and maintaining systems
  • Respect the importance of confidentiality, as you will be dealing with employee’s personal details.
  • Be confident about gathering facts and statistics
  • Be patient, tactful, diplomacy and approachable
  • Recording information accurately
