A local authority in Wales is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer for a full-time, permanent role. You will oversee health and safety regulations in local authority premises, conduct accident investigations, and handle public health duties. Environmental Health Officer (Health and Safety) –

Full Time & Permanent Contract

Grade/Salary GO7 (SCP 32 to 35) £42,839 to £46,142

Based at Ty Dewi Sant Offices, Ewloe/ Hybrid Working

We are looking for professional, competent and enthusiastic people who are able to communicate well at all levels, with the ability to cope with a demanding workload.

Your role will involve: Health and Safety Regulation in local authority enforced premises; event safety; accident investigation; legal proceedings; along with various public health duties, including mobile home and caravan parks, Special Procedures licensing and private water supplies.

Applications are invited from candidates with a degree in Environmental Health, ideally with experience in the areas references above, however applications from recently qualified candidates will also be welcomed.

The role requires excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to work, and a solution focused outlook.

You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment and will be expected to work across all areas within the team. If you have the right experience for this role and feel your skills and experience match the requirements, we would be eager to hear from you!

Welsh speaking and writing skills are desirable.
