A local authority client is seeking an experienced Food Safety Officer in Surrey. The role involves conducting routine and reactive food hygiene inspections, investigating complaints, and enforcing policies. Candidates must have a relevant qualification in Environmental Health and experience in a regulatory setting. This is a 3-month contract with a pay rate of £65 per hour, flexible on hours.
Our local authority client, based in Surrey are looking to appoint an experienced Food Safety Officer to carry out programmed routine and reactive food hygiene inspections, investigate complaints across Food Safety and take appropriate enforcement in line with their enforcement policy.
In order to be considered you must hold a Professional qualification in Environmental Health (e.g. degree or diploma), with certificate of registration from EHORB. Have at least 20 hours CPDs covering the last 2 years and hold/have completed the competency framework. You must also have worked in an Environmental Health Team and has gained experience of working in a regulatory setting both in terms of food hygiene and safety and/or health and safety.
This is currently a 3 month contract, preferably full time but should you wish to do less hours we would be happy to negotiate on your behalf. Pay rates for this role will be £65 per hour.
