The role involves ensuring good housing standards, investigating complaints in the rental sector, and undertaking necessary licenses. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Health and at least 5 years of relevant experience. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Environmental Health Officer to join our private sector housing team. The team ensures that good housing standards in the private rented sector are achieved and maintained; investigates complaints about substandard conditions and poor management of rental properties; undertakes the licensing of houses in multiple occupation and delivers tenancy protection measures.

Applicants must have a Degree in Environmental Health, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health or the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland, or other equivalent qualification in a related subject, at least 5 years’ experience working as an Environmental Health Officer or in an equivalent role delivering private or social sector housing functions.
