This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Public Protection Partnership PPP

Public Protection Partnership PPP is a shared environmental health, licensing and trading standards service for Bracknell Forest and West Berkshire Councils.

Are you enthusiastic about making a real difference in people’s lives through environmental protection? Join our active Environmental Quality Team, where your work will include direct improvement of private water supplies and local air quality.

We are looking for an Environmental Control Officer to fill a vacancy to focus on improvements in environmental protection as well as dealing with commercial nuisances.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carrying out private water supply sampling, risk assessments, advice and enforcement and associated administration, liaison with property owners and laboratories.
  • Carrying out monthly deployment and collection of air quality monitoring diffusion tubes, data management and related administration and support the lead AQ officer.
  • Investigating complaints regarding commercial nuisance.
What we are looking for
  • A customer-focused professional with strong interpersonal skills
  • A working knowledge of the environmental protection and private water supply legislation
  • Confidence using ICT tools including Microsoft Office, Teams, and case management systems
