An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Advisor – Vulcan to join Rolls‑Royce Submarines.
The Submarines sector of Rolls‑Royce has been providing power systems expertise to the Royal Navy’s fleet of nuclear‑powered submarines since the early 1960’s. At the Vulcan site we have been leading the way by operating full‑scale prototypes of the Royal Navy’s Nuclear submarine plants as the lead of class. As a site we have been involved in the trials, testing and data collection across all the reactor cores designed and developed for the Ministry of Defence.

Reporting to the local HSE Manager and based on a sound understanding of the local Environmental safety performance and risk profile, you will support the implementation of Environmental management arrangements to ensure compliance with requirements and support the drive towards company energy and waste targets, and sustainability objectives. You will be part of a team to define and deliver agreed improvement plans and be proactive in seeking out emerging issues. Help to identify and promote good practice as well as working collaboratively with Business colleagues and the wider HS&E function, to build a sense of team and ensure alignment to Business and functional strategies.

To work for the Rolls‑Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls‑Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
