Job summary

A leading engineering company in the UK is seeking an Environmental Advisor to manage environmental risks and compliance at their Rosyth site. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of UK environmental legislation and will lead site-wide environmental initiatives. Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of UK and Scottish environmental legislation, regulation, and best practice.
  • Proven ability to investigate environmental incidents and manage environmental risks.
  • Confident influencer and coach with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of environmental permits and licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site-wide environmental advice and coaching for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain and improve the ISO Environmental Management System.
  • Manage compliance with environmental legislation and permits.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, driving corrective actions.
  • Conduct site inspections and analyze trends and data.

Skills

Knowledge of UK and Scottish environmental legislation
Incident investigation and risk management
Influencing and coaching skills
Knowledge of environmental permits and licenses

Education

Level 3 or Level 5 Environmental Management qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent)
