A leading healthcare provider in Cornwall is seeking an ENT Specialty Doctor for a 12-month fixed term post. The successful candidate will join a comprehensive service offering out-patient, elective surgery, and emergency care. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical standards, supervising junior staff, and participating in clinical governance. This is a 12 month fixed term post for an ENT Specialty Doctor.
The successful candidate will be part of the ENT team who provide a comprehensive out‑patient, elective surgery and emergency service in this large busy District General Hospital.
The Department of ENT Surgery treats all aspects of patients within this specialty and this post is an integral part of this. The department provides 24‑hour 3‑tier emergency cover from the main hospital base of Royal Cornwall Hospital, with additional outpatient clinics at local community hospital sites.
There is a dedicated ENT outpatient department co‑located with Audiology at Royal Cornwall Hospital. All emergency and elective surgery is performed at Royal Cornwall Hospital.
There is an adult ENT ward (shared with vascular surgery) and a dedicated ENT theatre with second stage facilities for same‑day discharge. Children's surgery takes place in Tower theatres adjacent to the Paediatric ward base.
