A leading educational institution in Greater London is seeking an Enrichment Officer to coordinate and deliver engaging enrichment activities for students. The role requires a Level 3 qualification or above in related fields and significant experience working with young people to promote resilience and employability. Based at Carshalton College, but you may be required to work from Merton College. Student Services supports students at each stage of their journey from pre‑entry to post‑exit. The department has a student‑orientated culture and puts students’ needs at the heart of everything it does.
Joining us as an Enrichment Officer, you’ll lead on developing, delivering, planning, and coordinating a range of enrichment activities with high levels of engagement. You’ll work with others to provide a programme that supports students to build resilience, stay safe and develop employability, personal and social skills, while proactively building positive relationships and effectively challenging behaviour/signposting to support services.
— Qualified to Level 3 or above in an appropriate area (Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology, Health & Social Care or IAG).
— Experience of working with young people aged 16‑19 from a variety of backgrounds, understanding their needs and the challenges they face.
— Demonstrated experience of planning, coordinating, and delivering activities for young people in an educational setting (or similar).
— Ability to engage large numbers of young people and encourage participation, including use of initiative, organisation and prioritisation skills.
— Working knowledge of barriers to participation and strategies to increase engagement, as well as knowledge of external organisations that can support enrichment opportunities.
Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of enrichment programmes that promote resilience, safety, employability, personal and social development, and positive behaviour among students.
Successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, an online search and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
