SEMH English Teacher (with an opportunity for Head of English)

Type of school : SEMH age 5-19 Location : Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17) Salary : £150 - £220 per day (DOE) Contract : Full-Time | Term Time Only | Long-Term to Permanent Start Date : Asap

Are you a passionate and resilient English Teacher with experience working with pupils with SEMH needs? Long Term Futures are seeking a dedicated teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Sutton-in-Ashfield (NG17), supporting students who require a nurturing, structured, and adaptable learning environment.

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. This can be for the role of teacher of English, or Head of English.

The Role :
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEMH and behavioural challenges.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive learning experiences.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, and external professionals to meet individual needs.
