Job description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a motivated and supportive department. This position offers a great opportunity to inspire students through literature, language, and communication skills across KS3 and KS4. The role begins in September 2025.

Responsibilities as an English Teacher include:

  1. Planning and delivering engaging English lessons that challenge and motivate students
  2. Fostering a love of reading, writing, and critical analysis
  3. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback
  4. Contributing to curriculum development and enrichment activities
  5. Supporting students’ literacy and communication skills across the curriculum

Minimum requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in English or a related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and examination requirements
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to student achievement and personal development
