Job description

Are you an engaging and hardworking English Teacher that is looking for a long-term in January 2026? If yes, Tradewind Recruitment has a great opportunity for you!

We are collaborating with a school that needs an efficient English Teacher that can manage behaviour, engage all learners, and uphold the school's vision of supporting pupils' growth. The position will involve planning and contributing ideas within the department that will encourage student participation.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and teach excellent lessons to students across different key stages.
  • Promote high expectations for students through planning, evaluation, and setting out progress paths to reach targets.
  • Act on feedback from the head of department and implement it in lessons.
  • Build positive and strong relationships with the students.
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and policies.
  • Follow the behavioural policies set by the school and ensure students understand them.

During your time with Tradewind, we will support you with CPD Training provided by the National College, as well as an excellent service!

The position involves planning and marking, therefore it is paid to scale which means it will be .56 per day.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • QTS and a specialist in English.
  • Experience working in a school.
  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Satisfactory References.
