Overview

English, Maths and Science Tutor Opportunity - 1:1, Bude. Prospero Teaching is looking for English, Maths and Science Tutors to deliver bespoke tuition packages on a 1:1 basis to secondary-aged young people that are currently without a school placement.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils' education.
• Deliver tutoring to disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners to boost engagement and attainment levels.

Contract/Position Details

• Location: Within the community or pupils' home in Bude
• Position: English, Maths and Science Tutor
• Type of work: Contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement
• End date (if applicable): Ongoing
• Contract type: Temporary
• Full-time/part-time: Part time (6 - 15 hours per week, per student)
• Minimum rate of pay: £25 per hour
• Hours: Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Possess UK classroom teaching experience

• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
