Are you ready to support students and help them progress in English across KS3 and KS4?

*** £81 - £101 per day
*** School location: Ward of Northfield
*** Supporting English students through KS3 and KS4

The Role:
As an English Academic Coach, you’ll work with the English department to provide tailored support to pupils who need extra help. You will deliver small group sessions, offer one-to-one tutoring, and assist with interventions aimed at improving reading, writing, and exam preparation. You’ll also contribute to preparing lesson materials and motivating students to achieve their best.

The Candidate:
You should hold a degree in English or a related subject. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people are key. An interest in education and helping students succeed is essential, while previous experience in a school or tutoring environment will be beneficial.

Requirements
  • Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
  • Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
  • Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Desire to work in education/with children – A genuine interest in supporting students and progressing into teaching.
  • Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
