  • Complete work orders for planned maintenance and reactive responses.
  • Provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance support.
  • Support hospital managers with engineering advice.

Education

City & Guilds Part 3 or NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Job description

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification. If electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme (ECS) Card required. (Persons without the appropriate card will not be considered).
  • City & Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required.
  • Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes, and ACOPs.
  • Understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within Hospital buildings.
  • High level of organisation & time management skills, especially in environments with multiple priorities.
  • Sound fault-finding techniques and ability to read drawings.
  • Proficient in PC use, including software and systems.

Duties of this role include:

  • Complete work orders promptly for planned maintenance, reactive responses, specialist subcontract work, and remedial work.
  • Provide routine and specialized engineering maintenance and breakdown support at a hospital site.
  • Offer technical, health, safety, and environmental support, acting as an exemplar of company policies.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and assistance to site-based technicians or assistants.
  • Support hospital managers with engineering advice as needed.
  • Demonstrate a proactive culture based on high engineering standards and integrity.
  • Help build and develop a strong team ethos.
  • Work across Circle Health Group hospitals to cover absences, attend meetings, or provide specialist advice.
