A leading aerospace company is seeking an Engineering Technician Apprentice in Filton, UK. This role involves studying towards a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering while providing customer support and maintenance solutions to the Airbus fleet. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 GCSEs, including Maths and English. The position offers a salary of £17,889 for a 35-hour week, including benefits such as flexible hours, holidays, and pension options.
As an Engineering Technician (Customer Services) Apprentice you will study with our Educational Training Partner Weston College to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and a professional EngTech qualification. Alongside this, your work‑based training will take place at our industry‑leading design, test and manufacturing hub, Airbus Filton in Bristol. Customer Services is responsible for supporting the entire Airbus fleet through providing in‑service solutions, maintenance requirements and procedures while ensuring continued airworthiness and safety of the flying fleet. You will be the face of Airbus in front of our customers, providing support and assistance with technical queries and ensuring customer satisfaction with every interaction.
At Airbus Filton you will spend time in Customer Services immersing yourself in the day‑to‑day activity of supporting the entire Airbus fleet, maintaining quality and airworthiness of our aircraft. You will undertake a range of on‑site placements covering a number of disciplines that will allow you to gain a broad range of exposure to our world class Airbus commercial aircraft programmes. You will develop a strong customer‑centric mindset and apply technical knowledge to solve customer issues and provide industry‑leading support.
Qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and professional EngTech qualification (Engineering Technician – ST0457 Level 3). In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship you must have a minimum of:
