A leading facilities management provider is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer in Bristol. Job description
Overview

Job Overview: Responsible for performing a variety of tasks and skills to ensure the correct functioning and safety of the building M&E plant and equipment. You may also be required to carry out minor repairs and improvements to the building fabric, such as painting, plastering, carpentry, etc.

Main Duties
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems
  • Respond to requests and reports of faults or breakdowns from facilities staff and clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Install new equipment and appliances, and assist in the setup of other systems
  • Conduct regular checks and tests of safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, emergency lighting, etc., and ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and spare parts, and report any issues or recommendations to the Shift Lead Engineer
  • Follow a maintenance schedule and prioritise tasks according to urgency and importance
  • Use and maintain tools and equipment required for the role, and ensure they are in good working order and stored securely
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance engineers, facilities staff and external specialists, providing guidance and support when needed
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices in the field of maintenance, and attend training courses as required

Experience & Qualifications
