A leading financial services firm in Manchester is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing software engineering teams. We’re hiring an Engineering Manager to lead high-performing software engineering teams and create the conditions for them to thrive. You’ll be a technical expert , delivery leader and people coach , ensuring engineers feel supported, grow in their careers, and deliver measurable impact to customers.
You’ll work closely with Product peers to align priorities, maintain roadmaps, and ensure predictable, sustainable delivery. You’ll also champion engineering quality, simplicity, and modern practices , including the adoption of AI-powered tools like GitHub Copilot to supercharge workflows.
You won’t write production code, but you’ll need the technical depth to coach effectively, ask the right questions, and advocate for best practices.
