Job Description

The Engineering Manager will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for a team of 8 engineers and technicians across a complex facility. This role is a key part of the site leadership team and will focus on driving operational excellence and cultural transformation. Responsibilities include:

  1. Driving equipment efficiency to ensure maximum availability
  2. Developing, embedding, and managing PPM schedules using Maximo systems
  3. Providing guidance and leadership to the engineering team
  4. Leading investigations and RCA's, ensuring preventative actions are completed efficiently
  5. Developing and implementing strategic plans for the engineering department
  6. Collaborating with other department heads to align engineering strategies with business objectives
  7. Managing departmental expenditure and labour costs within budgets
The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry
  2. An electrical engineering background with a relevant degree (preferred)
  3. Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills
  5. A passionate, energetic approach with a drive to improve performance and culture
  6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold team members accountable
