Job summary

A leading training provider in Wythenshawe is seeking an Engineering Learning Coach to support apprentices in developing their skills. You will create learning plans and ensure that progress is monitored in compliance with regulatory standards. Ideal candidates will have hands-on engineering experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a recognised assessing qualification. This position offers a salary range of £37,800 - £42,050.

About the Role

Due to continued growth, our client is expanding their team of Engineering Assessors (Learning & Development Coaches) within our specialist Engineering division, based in Wythenshawe. In this role, you will support apprentices in the workplace, with flexibility to work between site visits.

The Engineering Team

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that partners with leading engineering employers across Greater Manchester to develop the next generation of skilled professionals. Our apprenticeship programmes have supported thousands of learners in building long-term, successful careers.

You'll report to an experienced Team Lead, be supported by a knowledgeable Training Manager, and collaborate with a dedicated group of instructors and administrators. The working environment is professional, supportive, and focused on learner success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a cohort of apprentices working towards industry-recognised standards.
  • Clearly explain apprenticeship structures and requirements to both learners and employers.
  • Develop achievable learning plans in partnership with learners and employers, integrating both on-the-job and off-the-job training.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely interventions to ensure achievement targets are met.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and professionalism in line with government and regulatory frameworks.
About You
  • To succeed in this role, you will bring:
  • Hands-on experience within an engineering environment.
  • A recognised assessing and/or teaching qualification.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with learners aged 16+.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage your workload independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Accurate report writing and record-keeping skills.
  • A commitment to working within a compliance-driven, government-funded training environment.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
