Job summary

A prominent real estate services firm is seeking an Engineering Compliance Analyst to manage compliance across their portfolio, ensuring adherence to regulations. You will prepare compliance plans, report on performance, and support teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical and electrical asset management and a solid understanding of UK statutory inspection legislation. This role is remote but based in Birmingham.

Engineering Compliance Analyst

About The Role

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring engineering compliance across the portfolio, delivered through the GPA supply chain, and management of the Compliance Plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare and manage the Compliance Plan and statutory mapping requirements across the portfolio, in line with current legislation and in tandem with the portfolio asset register.

  • Ensure suppliers maintain GPA technical compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Produce reports on compliance activity, performance, performance failures and remedial action plans; harmonise supply chain reporting.
  • Institute best‑practice procedures, strategies and implementation plans for compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Check the status of supply chain operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Use the CMMS to utilise Asset Management Information to generate reports.
  • Act as the point of contact to provide support and guidance to the GPA, operational teams and supply chain, to ensure compliance with the contract requirements, statutory legislation and critical maintenance of Buildings Services Equipment.
  • Develop and manage a full portfolio programme of statutory and mandatory requirements, with annual reviews and associated inspection and audit programmes.
  • Annual reconciliation of all records held on the CMMS.
  • Issue a monthly change log of all updates to statutory and mandatory records.
  • Utilise the JLL YGP compliance and standards system to ensure legislative changes are implemented.
  • Ensure all compliance data is uploaded into the Digital Platform.

  • Strong understanding of M&E systems and terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in report writing, analysis, and compliance procedures.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks.
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing.
Experience
  • Experience of mechanical and electrical asset management and experience working in a compliance management role.
  • Understanding of UK M&E statutory inspection legislation.
  • Experience working with CMMS.
Qualifications

Desirable

  • UK Government Level 1B Security Check (SC) clearance.
  • Qualification in maintenance, compliance, project or CMMS management.
