Overview

Our Engineer Surveyors visit client sites to carry out inspections and assess a wide range of plant, equipment, and installations. As a newly recruited Engineer Surveyor, you would be enrolled onto our induction training programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer with good knowledge of the Lift and Crane discipline to join Allianz Engineering, a division of one of the world\'s largest insurers and financial services companies.

Responsibilities
  • Anticipate client needs and help ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Work closely with your Engineer Surveyor Team managed by a Senior Operations Team Leader.
  • Prepare examination reports following inspections using electronic reporting for fast delivery to clients.
  • Carry out hands-on inspections of plant and equipment such as lifts, material handling equipment, cranes, and construction plant.
Salary Information

Starting Salary £44,213 plus a Company Car and additional benefits. Salary forms part of the total reward package.

About You

As an Engineer Surveyor you will assess a wide range of installations and help clients comply with relevant legislation. Essential and desirable skills are listed below.

  • Up to date knowledge of compliance and regulatory rules and procedures relating to the Lift and Crane discipline.
  • Making well informed decisions and willingness to take responsibility.
  • Effective short, medium and long-term planning to diarise meetings, visits and work allocation.
  • Ability to travel within your local allocated work area.
  • Processing documentation and undertaking general administration in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to support and deputise for fellow Engineer Surveyors as required.
  • Passion for engineering, self-drive, and ability to interact with clients daily.
  • Background in lifts, cranes, materials handling equipment with hands-on experience in manufacturing/repair/maintenance.
  • Strong customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication.
Essential Skills
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical related subject.
  • Full valid UK driving licence.
  • Time management and the ability to self-organise weekly work.
  • Comfort using tablets and smartphones as part of the working day.
Desirable Skills
  • Incorporated Engineer (desirable).
