Overview

Field Service Engineer - Generators and Compressors

Location: Glasgow

Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00, 40 hours per week plus overtime

On-call rota: 1-in-4

What youll do
  • Service, maintain and repair generators (201400 kVA) and compressors at customer sites.
  • Diagnose faults, replace parts and carry out effective mechanical repairs.
  • Work on fleet fitted with telematics; equipment is fully sync-able using ComAp or Deep Sea Electronics (DSE) panels.
  • Attend breakdowns, complete planned maintenance and ensure first-time fix where possible.
  • Liaise professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Always follow company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
What youll bring
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hands-on experience in fault finding and repairs.
  • Experience servicing / repairing generators, compressors or similar plant / equipment.
  • Good IT skills (including Microsoft Office).
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to cover overtime and participate in the on-call rota.
  • Commitment to supporting our ESG strategy and Decade to Deliver.

Pay, overtime & on-call
  • Overtime: paid at 1.5x, door-to-door
  • On-call rota: 1-in-4
  • Standby allowance; call-out payments: COST (Mon-Fri) and COST (Sat-Sun).
